Join world renowned adventurer and Guinness World Record Holder, James Castrission for an exclusive adventure-based experience in the iconic Blue Mountains of New South Wales. The pristine wilderness of the Blue Mountains, located just two hours’ drive or a 40-minute helicopter flight from Sydney, is home to some of the most outstanding hiking, canyoning, climbing and mind-blowing natural beauty Australia has to offer.
With several experiences available to choose from, each tour is designed to accommodate varying fitness levels, ages and abilities. The day will showcase exclusive destinations rarely accessible to the average traveller and is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and rejuvenate the soul.
For those looking for extreme adventure, explore the majestic Grand Canyon of the Blue Mountains with a three-and-a-half-mile walk (six kilometres), thrilling rappelling and canyon adventure while experiencing its beauty and hidden secrets. For a higher intensity experience explore Empress Falls Canyon involving multiple jumps into water pools and an adrenaline-fueled rappel straight down a pounding waterfall. For the beginner, learn the finer skills of rappelling before tackling the sandstone cliffs.
Scenic bush hikes are also available for those looking to see the region in a calmer light, ideal for exploring the diverse landscape and witnessing the prolific wildlife that call the Blue Mountains home.
James Castrission has created a life full of adventure and adrenalin-fuelled achievements, and is now one of the most highly regarded Australian speakers, and inspirational figures.
James, along with his close friend Jonesy, sea kayaked over 2,000 miles (3,318 kilometres) from Australia to New Zealand through the treacherous waters of the Tasman Sea, unassisted. Battling sleep and food deprivation, 32 foot (10 metre) swells and howling winds, the duo were the first kayakers to complete this feat of human endurance.
The pair, along with Norwegian explorer Aleksander Gamme, also completed the first ever unassisted polar crossing journeying from the edge of the Antarctic to the South Pole and back over 89 gruelling days – a first in 100 years of polar exploration.
These extraordinary achievements along with a whole host of other expeditions have resulted in two Guinness World Records, two bestselling books, a place on Australia’s Top 50 Explorers Of All Time list and a undiminishing thirst for life.
James will be your private guide and host throughout your Blue Mountains experience.
