Perched high above a beautiful curve of white sandy beach on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is a very special tropical hideaway. This superbly-equipped and luxurious holiday retreat, regarded by many as Australia’s finest beach house, offers total privacy and yet is just metres from Hastings Street in Noosa Heads – the country’s most renowned beachside holiday destination.
Noosa is famous for its mild, subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 25ºC. Ocean temperatures range from 19ºC in winter to 25ºC in summer which means comfortable, year-round swimming.
Crafted from the finest local timbers and ancient river stone, this architect-designed property offers peerless views of Noosa Main Beach, Laguna Bay and the stunning hinterland. The terraced gardens are home to exotic native birds such lorikeets, kookaburras and myna birds. There are koalas snoozing in the towering gum trees and monitor lizards basking in the sun.
Despite its generous footprint (approximately 2,000 square metres) and dress circle location at the southern end of Noosa Main Beach, this executive hillside retreat is carefully shielded from prying eyes.
If you are looking for a family-friendly holiday house with that WOW factor, your prayers have been answered. Nowhere else in Queensland offers the same combination of stunning coastal location, luxury appointments and state-of-the-art technology. Our property manager will ensure that your every whim is catered for – whether that is a plane flight to Lady Elliot Island, a table at an exclusive restaurant or something even more challenging. If it can be done, we will make it happen.
Consisting of the Main House, a separate Master Suite, the Pool House and a massive entertainment deck, the property has been designed as a self-contained holiday destination and boasts a 10-metre swimming pool, fully-equipped pool bar, modern gym, outdoor widescreen televisions and separate staff quarters.
Impeccably furnished and decorated with original artwork and sculpture, the Main House and Master Suite are authentically Australian. The mood is laid-back, casual and beachy but you can also expect a generous dash of European elegance. Luxurious furniture and fittings are balanced by antique pieces collected by the owners over a lifetime of travelling the globe.
Guests have the use of a wide range of sporting equipment, including mountain bikes, jet skis, stand-up paddle boards and, of course, surfboards; Noosa’s family friendly beach, a mecca for surfers, is literally just across the road.
Given its position in Noosa Heads, a holiday destination celebrated for its world-class surf breaks, internationally-recognised restaurants and up-market shopping, the property can be considered a stand-alone holiday experience.
Importantly, the Sunshine Coast also provides the ideal base from which to explore the rest of Australia. Fraser Island, the Great Barrier Reef, Australia Zoo, Brisbane and the Queensland theme parks (Dreamworld, Warner Brothers Movie World, Sea World) are accessible from Noosa.
For many, however, leaving the outdoor terrace will prove too much of the wrench. The panoramic coastal views, the tranquility and the sounds of the Australian bush will prove deeply addictive. Even if you do leave, you will feel compelled to return to this slice of Aussie paradise again and again.
Located on the upper terrace, the Main House is a light-filled space which floats on top of the forest canopy. The modern timber, glass and steel building was designed by renowned Brisbane architect Noel Robinson. A glass fronted lift provides seamless access from the lower entertainment terrace.
Accommodation consists of two generous double bedrooms which share an ensuite bathroom and sitting area; downstairs you will find another bedroom and private sitting area. The intimate entertainment area (which includes a walk-in pantry, large dining area and a sitting room with an open fire) flows effortlessly onto a verandah overlooking Main Beach – a perfect
Connected to the Main House by a walkway, this luxurious suite is totally self-contained and comes with its own Master Bedroom, sitting room with an open fire and freestanding bath, outdoor deck (with rainwater shower), walk-in robe and an ensuite bathroom. The Master Suite also offers a smaller second bedroom – ideal for a baby or small child.
Located above the garage on the lower terrace, the Pool House may be used as guest accommodation or staff quarters. Its distance from the Main House would make for an ideal teenagers’ retreat. The building is entirely self-contained and includes a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a compact modern kitchen and plenty of storage space. The building opens directly onto the large timber pool deck. Downstairs guests will also find a fully-equipped gym. A second lift connects the Pool House and garage, which is literally 20 metres from Noosa Main Beach. This is where we store all of the aquatic gear and beach toys.
Designed to follow the curving hillside, the hardwood deck, made from Queensland gum, runs from one side of the property to the other amazing views. Thanks to its immense size, the terrace has been divided neatly into two distinct areas, with the family-sized swimming pool at one end and a swish fully-equipped cocktail bar at the other.
The terrace is also equipped with widescreen televisions and outdoor surround sound for evening entertainment. The deck area, which is furnished with DEDON outdoor furniture and giant olive oil urns, is perfect for sunset drinks. The covered bar is equipped with a custom-designed drinks fridge, filtered water and an ice-machine. Naturally, cocktail makers and staff can be provided.
Noosa Heads is located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, approximately 136 kilometres north of Brisbane, the state capital. Thanks to its central location, Noosa offers easy access to many of Queensland’s top attractions, such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Daintree National Park, Australia Zoo and Fraser Island.
The Sunshine Coast Airport is one of Australia’s fast-growing regional transport hubs, with direct flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland. Flying time from Sydney is approximately 90 minutes. The airport is 36 minutes by road from Noosa Heads.
