The Louise’s team is dedicated to providing a relaxing, memorable five-star stay in the world-renowned Barossa.
The Barossa is the undisputed wine capital of Australia, recognised as an internationally-acclaimed haven of viticultural innovation and production since the early 20th Century. It has the longest unbroken lineage of winemaking and grape-growing families in the country, with some entering their seventh generation of production.
While boasting a speciality in their hero varieties of Barossan Shiraz and Eden Valley Riesling, the region is home to over 40 different wine grape varieties, each showcasing its own character and reflecting the hand of its grower and producer.
The region is also rich with artisan food production, making the Barossa an unsurpassed location offering a depth of culinary and viticultural experiences. The rich flavours of seasonal produce alongside traditional meats and breads can be found throughout the region, whether found at the local Farmer’s Market, specialist providores, or on the many different dining tables of the Barossa.
The region comes with a rich German history dating back to the early 1800s, leaving the region’s picturesque towns and villages with distinct stories and histories. Visitors from far and wide can discover these intimate, welcoming and rewarding stories with personalised touring options.
The Louise is located within South Australia’s Barossa wine region, an approximately 75-minute drive north-east from Adelaide. A helicopter pad is located on the property for charter flights.
Guests of The Louise enjoy access to a range of on-site amenities and services, including an outdoor infinity edge pool overlooking the vines, a fitness centre with sauna, in-suite massages, a giant chess set, and more.
With wining and dining as its centrepiece, The Louise is centrally located within close proximity to a range of exceptional cellar doors to explore. The Barossa is best discovered with a private guide to uncover exclusive access. Alongside personalised wine touring throughout the region, guests may upgrade their experience with private visits to boutique wineries to meet the winemaker, blending and labelling your own personalised wine varieties, observing the méthode traditionnelle disgorgement of sparkling wine, and more.
The region’s perfect grape-growing weather also loans itself to perfect weather for outdoor activities. Other activities available in the region at extra cost include hot air ballooning, golf, cycling, hiking, and more.
