Cicada Lodge is a 100% Indigenous owned property located on the bank of the picturesque Katherine River inside the Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park. Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) features distinct sandstone country, lush gullies of foliage inhabit giant cracks in the gorge walls, and broad valleys meander through both the high and the low country.

This diverse and spectacular landscape is also a cultural landscape, where the Jawoyn People (Traditional Indigenous Australian Landowners of Nitmiluk) continue to live and work while sharing their culture with visitors to their Country.

When guests choose to stay at Cicada Lodge, they will be drawn into The Dreaming world of the Jawoyn People whilst still experiencing the highest levels of service and comfort.

How to get there:
Self drive – Excellent sealed highways into the Katherine region located 320km South of Darwin on the Stuart Highway. The Park’s main entrance is located 30 km northeast of Katherine via a sealed road.

Private fixed wing or helicopter air transfers – are available from Darwin or other locations on request.

The Ghan – This train services run twice a week stopping in Katherine with transfers from Katherine Railway Terminal available on request.

Cicada Lodge’s 18 Deluxe Rooms have been designed to emphasise the natural Australian outback surrounds whilst highlighting authentic Indigenous products:
Each room features panoramic windows and a private balcony to facilitate natural airflow throughout the room and allow for the scenic natural surrounds of the property to become an in-room aesthetic feature. Each room is also fully air-conditioned.
Local Indigenous art will decorate the walls of each room –also available for purchase.
