These fantastic natural features are the result of millions of years of constant erosion from the mainland’s limestone cliffs.

Summer December - February

Summer (December to February) along the Great Ocean Road is typically warm, with beautiful sunny days as the norm. Average temperatures range between 20.6 – 21.8°C (69.1 – 71.2°F), however it is also common for the region to reach temperatures of 30°C (86°F) and above.
Winter June - August

Winter (June to August) can be cold and wet along the coast, with the average daily temperature sitting between 13.6 – 14°C (56.5 – 57.2°F).
Autumn and Spring March - May, September - November

Autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) are beautiful seasons to spend along the Great Ocean Road, with the days typically languid and warm with mild temperatures averaging between 15.7 – 20.1°C (60.3 – 68.2°F).
