Seasons in Hunter Valley

The Hunter Valley enjoys a climate that is very similar to Sydney’s, being in such close proximity.

Summer December - February

In summer (December to February) the days are frequently warm and sunny and the average daily temperature sits between 21 – 27°C (69.8 – 80.6°F).
Winter June - August

In winter (June to August) this changes slightly, becoming cooler and the temperature drops to an average of 4 – 17°C (39.2 – 62.6°F).
Autumn and Spring March - May, September - November

In autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November), the temperature once again evens out and becomes very pleasant. The average temperatures during these seasons averages between 21 – 25°C (69.8 – 78.8°F).

City or Wilderness? Why and where?

Personally, I choose Wilderness. I live just over an hour from Melbourne and am surrounded by towering forests with challenging hiking trails and pristine waterways, and abundance of native wildlife and that never ceases to amaze and entertain. Australia, being one of the world’s least populated continents, offers a profound sense of freedom and endless opportunities for exploration once you leave the cities.
