Australian Hand-Crafted Journeys

Pepper Bush Adventure Tours

Craig and Janine Williams, along with their son Ben, operate Pepper Bush Adventures. They’ve designed a range of tours to help you access Tasmanian wilderness, wildlife and gourmet bush tucker – all encounters exude authenticity, care and privilege.

Pepper Bush Adventures specialise in day tours or extended itineraries throughout Tasmania, visiting iconic areas such as Cradle Mountain and Freycinet National Parks. As a guest of Pepper Bush, you’ll travel country roads, stand amongst ancient forest and giant trees, climb dolerite mountain peaks, visit award winning vineyards and restaurants and be pleasantly surprised by intimate moments with Tasmania’s wildlife species.

Craig, Janine and Ben are ready and able to handcraft a custom itinerary with your special interests in mind. Whether you’re interested in hiking, golfing, fishing, kayaking or wine tasting, they’ll fashion an unforgettable experience among Tasmania’s stunning landscapes.

Internationally regarded as one of Australia’s most exceptional nature and wildlife experiences, this journey invites you to discover the wilderness, wildlife and tastes of North-Eastern Tasmania on an afternoon tour that stretches into night.

After being picked up from your accommodation, your first stop is to Ben Lomond National Park. This National Park’s namesake is a spectacular mountain of dolerite columns and scree slopes, while the National Park itself is home to eight of the twenty highest peaks in Tasmania, as well as being the highest drivable point in Tasmania upon the twisting road known as Jacob’s Ladder.

This park plays an invaluable role in regional wildlife conservation, and awesome views and a magnificent array of alpine vegetation are on offer. Your guide will lead you through this region revealing their local knowledge along the way.

Following your adventures through Ben Lomond, you’ll enjoy a gourmet campfire dinner followed by a wonderful after-dark wildlife show focusing on the antics of the eastern quoll in its natural habitat.

With forester kangaroos as your dinner companions, settle in for dinner—a three-course campfire affair consisting of a Tasmanian cheese platter and smoked meats, followed by a main course showcasing native flavours. Expect flavours like Bush Pattie Gumbo or Native Spice Salmon with accompanying salads, with a dessert to finish. After this, settle back and relax with a Tassie beer or wine in hand, and watch the sun set to experience one of nature’s best after-dark shows.

Be amazed by a nocturnal encounter with some of Tasmania’s unique and endearing wildlife species as they emerge at dusk. Forester kangaroos, eastern quolls, Tasmanian pademelons and brush-tail possums gather to feed near the campfire, while Bennett’s wallabies and wombats graze close by. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled, as owls, bandicoots, tawny frogmouths and platypuses may also make appearances over this charming encounter.

Separated from the mainland of Australia, Tasmania is largely unspoiled and home to some of the country’s most beautiful and unique landscapes, experiences, and wildlife to discover on a luxury holiday.

The state is an elegant blend of the old and new, with pristine wilderness and quaint cityscapes to discover within close proximity to each other.

Guests are able to commence their journey with Pepper Bush from either Launceston or Hobart airports, or from accommodations throughout Tasmania.

Areas of special interest may include visits to Wineglass Bay at Freycinet National Park, Cradle Mountain or the Tamar Valley.

Day tours and extended journeys are available throughout the year. Winter (June – August) are the coolest months in Tasmania, with peak times being from September to May.
