One Kangaroo Island is a large, contemporary, hosted eco-retreat, found atop a dune and nestled between bush and a secluded, north-facing beach on Kangaroo Island’s Dudley Peninsula, located on the eastern end of the island. Located within a thirty-minute drive from Kingscote Airport, One Kangaroo Island offers convenient access contrasting with its immediate sense of privacy and seclusion.

The property has a carefully-selected a range of designer furniture, furnishings and appliances to ensure a luxurious and comfortable stay. Each visit comes fully catered by experienced chefs, with a strong focus on artisan Kangaroo Island produce alongside a private bar and wine selection.

This luxurious private retreat can accommodate up to ten guests, depending on the required room configuration. Of its five King bedrooms, three convert into King singles, making it very versatile for all kinds of groups. Equipped with four ensuite bathrooms, two sitting areas, and multiple infinity decks with outdoor dining and entertaining areas, including a decadent outdoor bath and shower, there’s plenty of space to unwind before venturing out into the beautiful surrounds to snorkel, explore, and breathe in the tranquillity.

The property comes fully equipped with a range of eco-friendly appliances and state of the art entertainment and home technology to ensure comfort all year around, while offering solar and battery power with 100% rainwater use, leaving minimal impact on the delicate environment. One Kangaroo Island envelops you into nature at its most serene while enjoying all the amenities of a luxury stay.

Accommodating up to 10 guests, One Kangaroo Island offers five King bedrooms, four with direct ocean views and ensuites, and three rooms providing twin-share options. This flexibility makes One Kangaroo Island suitable for all kinds of traveller configurations, including multi-generational family holidays.

One Kangaroo Island is a nature haven, surrounded by abundant wildlife and vivid colours. Your stay includes exclusive and private access to a protected and idyllic swimming beach within a shallow bay frequented by dolphins and eagle rays. Swim, snorkel, kayak and paddleboard across the sparkling waters, collect shells and go wildlife-watching from the beach, and enjoy the stunning views of sunsets, go stargazing, and absorb Kangaroo Island’s natural tranquillity from the property’s multiple infinity decks.

Due to the remote location of this property, touring around the island is best experienced on a private basis. Our preferred touring partner is Exceptional Kangaroo Island who offer expeditions into the region’s major attractions, discovering the Island’s food and wine, unique flora and fauna, and natural icons such as Flinders Chase National Park.

Your stay at One Kangaroo Island comes inclusive of fully-cooked breakfast and three-course dinners prepared by a private chef with local produce. Each meal is accompanied by a range of refreshments including hot and cold options, as well as premium Kangaroo Island and South Australian wines.

Kangaroo Island is renowned for its wonderful food and wine and established producer scene, best discovered with insider access and local touring with Exceptional Kangaroo Island. Wineries and distilleries offering different island flavours exist within easy touring distance of your accommodation and can be included as part of a customised journey, while Exceptional Kangaroo Island’s Fine Flavours day tour provides opportunity to explore behind the scenes at a range of artisan Kangaroo Island producers specialising in oysters, honey, oils, and more. Alongside the wonderful casual lunch options available across the island, hosted culinary experiences form an integral part of a memorable Kangaroo Island adventure.
