A collection of finely curated retreats cantilevered over the Murray River in the South Australian Riverland, The Frames offers the ultimate romantic getaway where the river meets the Australian outback.

Each of the three private retreats provide a five-star outback luxury experiences. Montage boasts an outdoor freestanding bath for stellar stargazing, two-bedroom Collage is perfect for two couples, and Pastiche comes equipped with a sauna, sunken spa, and river-facing bedroom. Each retreat’s balcony overlooks the river, making it the perfect spot for a breakfast with locally roasted coffee and pots of homemade marmalade.

All three private retreats are also luxuriously appointed with a heated pool, spa, BBQ and balcony for an indulgent relaxing escape. Tailored river and food safaris add to creating a memorable and personal experience.

Murray River

The Murray River is the spiritual centre of South Australia’s Riverland. The figurative beating heart, breathing life into this incredible region. As the river ebbs and flows, so do the worries of the world.

Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are beautiful, with mild daily temperatures often reaching between 19.7 – 26.8°C (67.5 – 80.2°F).

Collage: Designed to accommodate two couples, Collage sets new standards for shared ultra-luxury experiences. Unlike traditional accommodation, both bedrooms are equal in every sense – in size, amenity, ultra-luxury fit-out and even the views. Both bedrooms are also identical and are separated by a large wet area featuring a 6-person indoor hydrotherapy spa with Smart TV. The heated outdoor lap pool is superbly sited with a rain-shower waterfall at one end and wonderful underwater mood lighting. Outdoor dining is made even more enjoyable around the BBQ round table. And yes, Collage is also large: 145sqm indoor living and with the outdoor living creates 272sqm of private secluded living.

Dining

Owners Cathy & Rick pride themselves in providing their guests with the highest quality food and beverages available. All sourced from local producers, all guests have the option to have their own private chef come in and cook a gourmet meal for them. Alternatively, gourmet BBQ packs are available for guests to cook at their leisure.

Your retreats’ fridge is fully provisioned with local beers and wines, a welcome platter of delicious goodies and a daily gourmet breakfast hamper.
